About Maria

For seven years I worked in strategy consulting across the Gulf, Europe and North America: the titles, the airport lounges, the calendar that never ended. It looked like success. It also looked a lot like burnout, and eventually it was.

So I wrote my way through it. Almost There, Almost Me started on a September evening and became a novel about burnout, long-distance love, travel and choosing joy on purpose.

Along the way, two more threads became serious. I began researching how gender shapes the way we talk to AI, and I’m preparing to start a PhD in 2027. And I co-founded AI First Club, because the kids around me deserved a calmer, smarter way into AI than “just ask ChatGPT”.

I haven’t figured it all out. But it’s real, it’s moving, and I share what I’m learning as I go: your anti-FOMO pill for AI, founder life and self-publishing.
